Mr Furuta retired from the Japanese Air Self-Defence Force, he then joined Mr Kubo as an apprentice and now works in collaboration with his Master and Japanese Legend Kohei Kubo (95 year old Japanese Legend oldest living pen repairer and nib maker having worked on over 600 000 pens during his over 70 years long career, he’s possibly also the most prolific.) another of Mr Kubo apprentice is Tohma (Tohma Pens) Unfortunately Mr Kubo passed away recently.
