Paul Rossi Roman Columns Fountain Pen

In this series Master Craftsman Paul Rossi is paying homage to Roman Architecture.

Roman columns are the defining structural elements of Classical Architecture, comprising five unique architectural orders that dictates the proportions, style and decoration of ancient buildings. While the Romans adopted three styles from ancient Greece, they modified them and invented two of their own to emphasize grandeur, scale, and decorative flair.

When you stand back to look at this art work, it is a night scene, you are looking at the sky through the Roman Columns, the Columns in sterling Silver overlay, the Moon in Mother of Pearl inlay and the Stars in Solid Gold inlays, the dark blue Acrylic sets the night tone, even the clip a Roman style pillar plays a part in this astonishing composition.

Paul Rossi was a multi-talented craftsman. He began to make things at an early age, in his native Switzerland. As a teenager, he chose to acquire the finest writing instrument his money could buy, at the local stationary store, Quality and craftsmanship have always been his goals.

Paul's handcrafted pens are admired and sought by collectors throughout the world.

Rossi was an extremely talented independent pen maker.

He was head and shoulders above his contemporaries, he made pens that many independent pen makers only dream of making.

A one in a lifetime Master Craftsman.

He made one off precision parts for NASA through a 3rd party company (That was how good he was)

Unfortunately Paul passed away in June 2021

Paul Rossi is an artist, the likes of whom we may never see again, he is an artist who used the pen as his canvas.
